Born in Serbia, I obtained my BSc diploma in Molecular Biology and Physiology at University of Belgrade, Faculty of Biology (2014-2018). Afterwards, I enrolled into the MSc program in Human Molecular Biology at the same faculty and started working on my master’s thesis, which was dealing with effects of hypoxia on the maintenance and neural differentiation of neural stem cells, in the lab of Milena Stevanovic at the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering, University of Belgrade. After obtaining my MSc diploma, I enrolled into the PhD in Cancer Biology at the University of Zurich in the group of Prof. Lorenza Penengo in December 2019. My PhD project is focused on the role of Interferon signalling and especially Interferon Stimulated Gene 15 (ISG15) in genome stability. Now, I am in the final year of my PhD studies. When I am not in the lab, I enjoy skiing, cycling and traveling.
