I joined Penengo Lab in August 2020 as a PhD student working on the role of phospho-Ubiquitin modification in genome stability. In 2016 I obtained my BSc degree in Chemistry at the University of Crete (Greece), while working at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IMBB-FORTH Hellas) to perform a clinical proteomics study of patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. I had also spent four months in the Biomolecular & Analytical Mass Spectrometry lab at the University of Antwerp (Belgium) working on Native Mass Spectrometry study of DNA aptamer structures, before I moved in the UK to complete my MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Control at King’s College London. My experience within the analytical chemistry led me to a permanent role as an Analytical Scientist at AstraZeneca (UK) for the past years, where I worked on different pipeline and research projects focusing on Mass Spectrometry analysis of biopharmaceuticals. My curiosity about science led me to the current role in IMCR, where I have the unique opportunity to be part of Cancer Research combining and improving my knowledge in analytical chemistry and molecular biology.
