Laure-Alix completed a master degree in Bio-engineering at the UCLouvain in Belgium before completing a PhD in Biological Sciences at the de Duve Institute (Belgium) and then continued her research on liver disease and regeneration as a post-doctoral scientist under the supervision of Prof. Leclercq at IREC in Brussels. She then joined the IMCR for a post-doctoral fellowship designed to investigate the mechanisms of replication stress during the early stages of tumorigenesis, under the joint supervision of Prof. Lopes and Prof. Weber.
