Anne-Laure graduated from the University of Nantes (France) with a PhD in regenerative medicine, supervised by Prof. Lemarchand at INSERM UMR 1087. Following a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology at Cork University (Ireland), she joined the research staff at the Department of Pathology and Molecular Pathology at the University of Zurich Hospital (Switzerland). Since 2019, she has been working in Prof. Weber's research group, focusing her research on the hepatitis E virus, its implications in cellular changes, and its extrahepatic manifestations. She is also actively involved in laboratory management and organisation.
