Born in Greece having Ukrainian origins, I obtained my B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Having a strong understanding of how molecules work, I thereafter pursued my M.Sc. studies in Biology and Medicine of the NKUA, in order to integrate and unify these interconnected worlds. During my M. Sc. studies, I worked in the lab of Dr. S. Gagos, BRFAA, mainly on the role of the nuclease EXD2 in the Alternative Lengthening of Telomeres pathway in cancer. Upon obtaining my M. Sc. degree, I remained in the same lab for one year as a Research Assistant to work on the same project. In late 2019, I was thrilled to join Prof. M. Lopes lab to start my PhD studies, where I am currently working on the spatiotemporal role of nuclear dynamics in replication stress. In my free time, I enjoy doing sports, playing music, and photography.
