DNA Replication Under Stress: From Single Molecules to Tissues
Our research investigates how cells respond to DNA replication stress and how these responses safeguard genome stability. Combining molecular and cell biology with advanced single-molecule, imaging and genomic approaches, we aim to understand how replication fork dynamics are regulated within the three-dimensional nucleus and adapted to the specific demands of different cell types and tissues. By uncovering how these mechanisms become deregulated, we seek to advance our understanding of genome instability, cancer development and potential therapeutic vulnerabilities.
